Venerable Master Hsing Yun is the founder of the Fo Guang Shan (Buddha's Light Mountain) Monastic Order. His monastic name, "Hsing Yun," literally means "star cloud." Elsewhere in this catalog you will find a book called Handing Down the Light, a comprehensive biography of the Master.

This book, however - titled Star and Cloud after the Master's nameˇXis biography with a twist: it's a comic book! Fo Guang Cultural Enterprise Co., Ltd., has published a series of monastic biographies in Chinese, in both text and comic book format. It is now our pleasure to offer this illustrated version of Master Hsing Yun's life to English-speaking readers.
